Kenwood is proud to annouce the TS-950S Hf transceiver.  Here are some
of the innovative features of this new transceiver.  The primary new
is the Digital Signal Processing Unit.  This unit will allow you to many
things that will enhance your transmitted signal.  For example: You will
be able to select the desired rise/decay time of your CW waveform.  You
will be able to select the transmit audio frequency response.  You will
be able to use Audio as well as Intermediate Frequency VBT controls.
You say fine what does this really mean?  What it means is that you will
now be able to provide a transmitted audio signal that is easier to pick
out of a pile up.  The DSP unit will be to amateur SSB transmission what
Compact Discs have meant to the Stereo industry.  In addition DSP allows
the TS-950SD to provide levels of Carrier Suppression and Sidband
Suppresion that are 10 dbm better that have been previously possible
even with tube type amplifiers.  Many other features have been provided
on the TS-950S including 150 PEP output power, improved Auto tuner
operation with memory, dual receiver sections with seperate IF sections
for each, built-in keyer with speed and weighting control, 50 V finals
that provide improved IMD characteristics.
