RCA AR-88LF Shortwave Receiver. This is a radio from WW2, produced by RCA for the Canadian, British, US and Russian Military. Its a real boatanchor, aprox 90 pounds. Covers 2 bands of low frequency, and short wave from 1.5mc to 32mc. Has a bfo, tone control, noice limiter, antenna trimmer, and 5 positions of bandpass selectivity. It has 14 tubes. Extremely well built by RCA with high quality parts. These radios were used for point to point communication, and could run for months without being turned off, and were very stable once set up.

Has 455 Khz IF, 5 steps of selectivity ,Crystal Phasing , BFO, ANL, Tone , and SUPER SMOOTH, FINE Tuning. Covers .535 - 32 Mhz. Includes the entire broadcast band. This is the extremely scarce later version of the AR 88 Series of receivers, with Band In Use Masking, front panel Crystal Phasing Control, and Full Coverage of .535-32 MHz. With RCA red and chrome trimmed cabinet, original complete Department Of The Army R-320/FRC Radio Receiver Technical Manual, 14 glowing tubes producing powerful and impressive performance.
