Sadly Red Dog passed away on November 19, 2011
"Red Dog"
I adopted "Red Dog" from the Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, UT.
They are a "No Kill" organization that has 1800 to 2000 animals of all breeds there at all times and is run by donations.

Best Friends
"Red Dog" will be 8 years old in November 2006, he was picked up when he was a month old and has been with Best Friends most of his life.
I met him when I volunteered to socialize with the animals there. I fell in love with him the minute I saw him. He was all that I talked about after I returned home. After many serious health problems, my Doctor said that I had "Clinical Depression", When my 2 daughters who lived nearby found out, they contacted Best Friends and with their help made arrangements for the adoption and to fly him to Denver where my oldest daughter and her husband picked him up and brought him to me
He is the sweetest dog that you would ever want to see. He is house broken, don't jump up and don't lick. He is very laid back and nothing seems to bother him except he did get a little fidgety during a thunder storm. We can leave him home alone when we go shopping and he has no separation anxiety problems. You could not ask for a better dog.
They say he is a Chow mix but he looks more like a Golden Retriever. He has a chow tongue, ears, tail and legs but has a Golden Retriever head and body.
He has been named "Red Dog" all of his life so I see no reason to change it now as "Red Dog' is a "cool" name !!!.
