I have
an Alinco DX-70T as my main radio. I got this radio because I travel more
than I am home. I have really loved it. The radio has done real well for
me. If you have any questions about the radio, I would be happy to
try and answer some for you. Or I can certainly point you in the right direction
for getting your questions answered. Just send me an
e-mail. Notice that there is no microphone
hooked up to the radio. That is because you do not need a mic when using
CW.
I currently use a J-38 as my hand key, and a set of copper pipes shorted to a screw as my paddles. The paddles operate my TiCK-2 keyer.
The antenna is a Loop about 300' long. I feed it with an MFJ tuner.
When I am on the road the antenna I use is a 40 meter dipole and I run it through the tuner to get on most bands. I also have a set of slinkies that I have not tried out for an antenna yet, but I will be getting to it soon.
