Prayer Letter February
2001
Dear Praying Friends;
The Lord has blessed us in many ways this last month. This letter
is filled with just a few examples. Thank you for praying.
I was privileged to preach in a Spanish speaking prison in Texas. We had a man named Daniel saved that night at the service!
We have been able to schedule many meetings for later this year. God has also blessed financially. Twice this last month we have prayed for a specific amount in love offerings. In both cases the Lord blessed us with at least twice the amount.
This last month we were in need of a slide projector. The one that we were using was borrowed and ancient. I was in a thrift store and found one for $50. That projector is currently being sold new for over $400. The same day I found a laser printer in the store for $40. I was sure that it did not work, or would need toner, which would cost me more than the printer. They allowed me to bring in my notebook computer and check it out. It worked perfectly.
In my first draft of this letter I said that we still needed $500 for our trip to Merida, Mexico. While attending a Pastor's conference yesterday, the pastors voted to give our family $500. Our church was able to take up $500 towards the trip. Other individuals and churches have donated towards the trip as well. We praise the Lord for supplying through avenues that we were not even expecting.
We have been working on a tract that we could use to introduce people to our ministry as well as present the gospel. We were able to have that printed this last month. It outlines what we do as we train workers in churches. It explains how there are many misunderstandings about Sign Language and how people also misunderstand God. I then go into why we work with the Deaf, which is to give them the Gospel. The tract concludes with the Gospel and an invitation for those who have accepted Christ to write to us. We are thrilled to finally have this printed. It has been a project in the back of my mind for three years.
