Collections of
Photographs
The Little
Free Library collection contains the still photos I have shot
down through the years of the libraries I've visited. I consider it to
be a celebration of the concept. I've now been a steward of a Little
Free Library (#45857) for over four years, and love seeing people find
a book they like.
I'm a license plate collector, and I have an amateur radio plate from all 50 states plus other plates that are not radio related.
I'm not really a "motor head" and I don't collect cars, but I do love them. The car collection
includes pictures of vehicles I've owned, pictures from car shows,
pictures from NASCAR races I've attended and also shops where race car
owners work on their cars.
I started a covered bridges collection thinking that my girlfriend and I would get around and visit a lot of them. Hasn't happened yet but maybe someday.
Lexington is the capital of the thoroughbred horse racing industry, and is known for its beautiful farms in the area. I've had the good fortune to visit several of them.
My girlfriend loves lighthouses and we've taken several week-long trips to visit them, especially around the Great Lakes and the Carolina coast.
As you can imagine, the radio collection
has a bunch of stuff, including pictures of radios in my collection,
radio stations I've visited, museums, and radio club activities. "BARS"
is the Bluegrass Amateur Radio Society here in Lexington. "KY-QRP" is a
group of Kentucky hams that enjoy the challenge of transmitting with
very low power (5 watts or less).
Although I haven't been trackside much lately, the railroading collection
is a bunch of pictures I've taken while railfanning down through the
years. These include museums I've visited. There is also some model
railroad stuff.
And, of course, there is a miscellaneous collection. You might find something interesting there, and it includes various trips I've taken down through the years.
