Glider Visits Breezy Knoll 2012

On Wednesday, May 25, 2012 A glider landed at Breezy Knoll airstrip. He was trying to fly from northern Virginia to a point in North Carolina. He ran out of thermals and altitude in our area and was forced to land here. He was followed by a "chase truck" which came to his rescue. The aircraft is listed on the FAA database as belonging to SHANE C NEITZEY,17015 GAINES RD, BROAD RUN,VA. It is listed as manufactured by ALEXANDER SCHLEICHER GMBH & CO (Germany) and is their model ASW 27.

Chase truck/trailer is put in position for loading..



The wings were removed and placed in the trailer and the body is ready for loading.



Away they go in the HI-TEK carrier.
