NETHERLANDS ANTILLES
--------------------
The already announced change of the constitution of the Netherlands Antilles
will take place, as previously reported, on Oct 10, 2010.
It is a reconstitution of the Netherlands Antilles. Curacao and Sint Maarten
will become a country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands (like Aruba
already is) while Bonaire, Saba and St. Eustatius even lose some degree of
previous independence and become "Kingdom Islands". This moves them closer
to the Netherlands. The Netherlands Antilles are not becoming independent -
even Aruba is still a dependent territory of the Dutch kingdom (overseas
territory with special status). Converning the DXCC status please refer to
the DXNL last week. A frequency table of all major activities can be found
below.
PJ2 - NETHERLANDS ANTILLES, CURACAO, SA-006
Jeff,K8ND, is the team leader of a group which will sign PJ2/K8ND and
PJ2T from Curacao (SA-006, WLOTA LH-0942) in CW and SSB on all bands
from Oct 8-18. QSL via K8ND or LoTW.
This team will be replaced by a group of nine from the USA and Germany.
This group will be active in all modes on all bands until Nov 2 inclu-
ding the CQWW SSB Contest (multi/multi).

Jan,WP3UX, will activate Bonaire (SA-006, WLOTA LH-1279) in SSB, CW and
digital modes on 160m-10m for two weeks starting on Oct 10. The team
has two special calls PJ4N (QSL via DJ8NK) and PJ4B (QSL via PA8A) and
they are allowed to use the antennas of Radio Netherlands when the
station is not transmitting from 1230-1830 UTC. Expect outstanding
signals on 30m, 20m, 17m and 15m!
All QSOs will be confirmed automatically via bureau.
More news and an online log can be found at: http://www.bonaire2010.com

Paul,K1XM, is leading a group of the "Yankee Clipper Contest Club"
which plans to show up from St. Eustatius (NA-145) in SSB/CW/RTTY on
160m-10m from Oct 8-16. QSLs also via bureau to KQ1F.
PJ5 - NETHERLANDS ANTILLES, ST EUSTATIUS, NA-145 / PJ7, SINT MAARTEN, NA-105

from where he will sign PJ7/AH6DX from Oct 15-22. QSLs via homecall.

well. At first he is going to hit the airwaves as PJ5/AA4NC from
St. Eustatius (NA-145) from Oct 9-15 followed by an activity as
PJ7/AA4NC from Sint Maarten (NA-105) from Oct 15-18.
The QSL cards should be sent either direct to AA4NC or via LoTW.
PJ6 - NETHERLANDS ANTILLES, SABA, NA-145
Two teams, comprised mostly of members of the Southeastern DX Club
(SEDXC) and K5D team members, will operate as PJ6A from two different
QTHs on Saba (NA-145) over a two-week period from Oct 10-22.
Dave,K4SSU, Bob,K4UEE, Ralph,K0IR, Don,N4HH, Bill,N4NX, Steve,VE7CT,

will be QRV as PJ7/homecall before Oct 10. Updates, a logsearch and an
online QSL request system can be found on: http://www.stmaarten2010.com
They want to work in CW, SSB and RTTY on all bands with four stations
simultaneously with an option of two more if needed. Both QTHs on the
eastern and western side of the island provide a good skip to Europe
and North America.

NETHERLANDS ANTILLES - PRESS RELEASE AND BANDPLAN
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
JOINT PRESS RELEASE
Date: Sept. 30, 2010
From: DXpedition leaders/teams participating in DXpeditions to new DXCC
entities beginning 10-10-10
To: ALL interested DXers worldwide
Due to the unprecedented number of potential new DXCC entities and numerous
planned DXpeditions commencing 10-10-10, we felt it was prudent to establish
a band plan to try to minimize interference between DXpeditions and their
pileups. The following band plan is the result of discussions that have
been ongoing for several weeks. It is a plan.... However, without the
cooperation of DXers, the plan will not work. It is extremely important that
DXers call DXpeditions only within the specified frequency ranges. If you do
not, you will not work the station you are calling and you will likely
interfere with another DXpedition on another island. This will require
cooperation and discipline.
Success of this plan also requires that DXers help spread the information
about the band plan to their fellow DXers and DX Clubs. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
But if we work together, we will be able to get many, many DXers into our
logs!
Thanks for your cooperation!
