C6 - BAHAMAS
Bob,N4BP (C6AKQ), Mike,K4RUM (C6AUM), and Tim,N4UM (C6ARU), will arrive
in Lucaya/Freeport on Grand Bahama Island (NA-080) on Feb 15 and will
be joined by Kevin,K4PG (C6APG), on Feb 18. The operation includes a
participation in the ARRL International DX CW Contest (Feb 21/22).
C6APG will join as single op on 40m, C6AKQ as single op on 80m,
C6AUM as single op on 160m and Tim,C6ARU, will decide later. They will
focus on the WARC bands and digital modes before the contest starts.
QSLs direct to their homecalls or via LoTW.

Drew,N2RFA, is signing C6ABB from Nassau (NA-001) when working in RTTY,
SSTV and PSK31 on 17m/20m/40m/80m from Feb 8-18. QSL via homecall.
CN - MOROCCO
Guy,F8ALU, is momentarily active as CN2BG and will stay in Morocco
until the beginning of March. Usually you can find him on 14115 and
14130 kHz. QSL via his homecall.
J3 - GRENADA, NA-024
J38XX will be the callsign of Ulf,DL5AXX, from Feb 10-24. Ulf will be
active mainly on the lowbands and in the upcoming ARRL CW Contest.
His equipment includes a K3 transceiver, a small amplifier, a vertical
for 40m, an inverted L for 80m/160m and a spiderbeam for 30m-10m. Ulf
plans to upload his log daily to http://www.clublog.org and to his
personal logcheck with OQRS (http://www.dl5axx.de/dxlog).
The easiest way to obtain a QSL card is via OQRS, else via bureau or
direct; no LoTW, no eQSL.

Bill,K4LTA, will show up as J37BO between Feb 11 and Mar 3. Together
with NK4N he will join the ARRL DX CW Contest in multi/single class
as J38A. QSLs for both calls via K4LTA.
J7 - DOMINICA, NA-101
Steve,KL7SB, announced to be active as J79SB in CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31
on the HF bands from Feb 9-18. QSL via NI5DX.
JT - MONGOLIA
YL Munkhmend "Mend",JT1JC, was very active in RTTY and PSK31 during the
last weeks. She is the XYL of Gankhuyag,JT1CJ. Listen for her on 20m
in PSK from 2245-0030 UTC and in RTTY from 0700-0800 UTC.

OA - PERU
Fred,OA4/DL1NL, is staying in the Peruvian capital Lima until the mid
of February. He is active mostly in CW on HF whenever his time permits.

PJ4 - NETHERLAND ANTILLES, BONAIRE, SA-006
Roger,N4RR, will be on Bonaire (SA-006, WLOTA LH-1279) from Feb 10-15.
He will sign PJ4/N4RR in CW and RTTY and will use the special callsign
PJ4R in the single OP/allband/low power class of the WPX RTTY Contest
on Feb 13/14. Both QSLs via his homecall.
T8 - PALAU, OC-009
Mike,T88SM (JA6EGL), and Hiro,T88HS (JA6KYU), are working in CW/SSB
on 80m-10m from Koror (OC-009) from Feb 10-16.
QSLs only direct via their homecalls.
V3 - BELIZE
V31RI is the call of Ben,DL6RAI, from Feb 10 until Mar 2. His QTH is
Consejo Beach and you can expect activities mostly in CW and in SSB.
QSLs via bureau or direct to his homecall, via LoTW is ok as well.
XE - MEXICO, NA-167
Yahir,XE2JA/XF1, and maybe also other OPs will be active from the
island of Alcatraz (aka Pelicano, Sonora State North Group, NA-167)
in SSB and RTTY on 80m-15m and via the satellites AO-51, AO-27, SO-50
from Feb 11-14. Following operating frequencies were announced:
SSB: 3790, 7060, 14260, 18140, 21260 kHz,
RTTY: 3585, 7044, 14085, 18104, 21085 kHz.

XU - CAMBODIA, AS-133
Wim,ON6NP, Wim,ON6TZ, and Peter,XU7ACY (NO2R), will show up as XU7KOH
from the island Koh Russei (AS-133) from Feb 12-16. They will be joined
by Eddy,ON4AFU, and Joel,F5PAC, from Feb 19-23. QSL via ON7PP.

YN - NICARAGUA
Stan,AC8W (YN2WW, QSL via K8DD), Hank,K8DD (YN2DD, QSL via K8DD),
Jim,KB8TXZ (YN2TX, via KB8TXZ), and Lee,N8LJ (YN2LJ, via K8ESQ), will
be active from Nicaragua from Feb 16-25 including a participation in
the multi single category of the ARRL CW Contest. Before and after the
contest you will find YN2DD working mostly in CW and RTTY on 17m,
YN2WW primarily on 30m, YN2LJ in CW on the lowbands and YN2TX in SSB.
5X - UGANDA
Jack,NP2OR, is momentarily active from Masaka and will stay there until
May. He is QRV as 5X7JD in SSB on 20m/40m every day from 0500-1550 UTC.
He is running 100 watt into a Hy-Gain vertical or a folded dipole.
QSLs only direct via Jack Dunigan, Box 100, Masaka, Uganda.
5Z - KENYA
Enrico,5Z4ES, Frank,IK8TEO, Tony,IK8UHA, and Antonio,IK8VRH, will sign
5Z0H from Feb 12-25. The prefix 5Z0 has been issued for the first time.
They will also activate the islands Wasini (AF-067) and Lamu (AF-040)
during this period of time. The team plans to operate with two stations
simultaneously in CW, SSB and RTTY on 160m-10m.
Their QSL manager IK8VRH confirms the cards direct, via bureau or LoTW.

9Y - TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, SA-009
Mike,9Y4/DF8AN, is working mostly in CW on HF from Tobago (SA-009)

FRANCE, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The special callsign TM7AAW will be activated by Francois,F8DVD, during
the "7th Antarctic Activity Week" from Feb 13-28. QSL via his homecall.
ITALY, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The special callsign IU2ANT will be activated by Paolo,IK2QPR, during
the "7th Antarctic Activity Week" from Feb 15-28. QSL via his homecall.
MOROCCO, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The special event station 5E50SA reminds the devastating earthquake
which destroyed the Moroccan city Agadir 50 years ago. 5E50SA can be
found on the air until Feb 28. QSLs via EA7FTR.
THE NETHERLANDS, SPECIAL EVENT STATIONS
The national park "De Hoge Veluwe" is existing for 75 years now. For
this reason Fred,PA0FAW, is working as PA75HV during February and two
more times this year. These activities do not count for the national
parks award because Fred is using the callsign from his home.
QSLs can be sent via bureau, direct or eQSL to PA0FAW, no LoTW!
DXCC: Following QSL cards are accepted for DXCC credit now:

SILENT KEYS: Alonso Ulloa Mireles,XE1ZZA, passed away in his hometown
Guadalajara on Jan 27. Alonso was a wellknown DXer and DXpeditioner

Contest use of 1810 to 2000 kHz in Spain
----------------------------------------
At the request of the URE the Spanish Director General of Telecommunications
has permitted the use of the amateur radio band from 1810 kHz to 2000 kHz
in several contests. Outside of these contest the Spanish HAMs are only
allowed to use the frequencies from 1830-1850 kHz and not the segment from
1810-1850 kHz which is primarily allocated to HAM radio in IARU region 1.
