DU - PHILIPPINES, OC-042
Lee,DU1/HL1IWD, will be on the air from Manila (OC-042) between Dec 31
and Jan 3, 2010. QSL via homecall.
HH - HAITI, NA-096
Pierre,HB9AMO, became QRV as HH/HB9AMO in these days and will stay in
Haiti for about a month. He works only in CW on 30m-17m during his very
limited free time. QSL cards direct or via bureau via PA7FM.

HS - THAILAND
Joerg,DL1MJF, will be active again as HS0ZGQ from Dec 30 until Jan 25.
He will spend one week of his holiday on Koh Samui (AS-101). Joerg is
working in CW and SSB with 100 watts and a dipole.
He requests QSLs direct or via bureau to his homecall DL1MJF.
P2 - PAPUA NEW GUINEA, OC-069
Peter,VY0PW, is currently working on the island of Lihir (OC-069) and
is licensed as P29CS. Peter uses an Icom 706 with a Drake L7 amplifier
and his antenna is a Cushcraft A4S with 40m extension.
Peter asks everybody NOT to send the QSL cards to the address indicated
on QRZ.com. He is looking for a QSL manager. However, this will take a
bit, because he is very busy with his QRL. Please wait for further
announcements.
P4 - ARUBA, SA-036
Marty,W2CG, will spend his holidays on Aruba (SA-036) from Jan 5-26 and
hopes to become active as P40C or P40CG. Activities can be expected in
CW and RTTY on 80m-6m from 1200-1400 UTC and 2000-2400 UTC.
QSL cards via LoTW are preferred but Marty confirmes also via bureau or
direct via his homecall.
VP8/A - ANTARCTICA, AN-016
Alex, UA1PAW (ex RZ1PWA, R1ANF), is signing R1ANR from "Novo Runway"
near the Russian base Novolazarevskaya. He will stay there until the
end of February 2010. Alex states that he had only viable DX conditions
on 40m around 2000 UTC. He uses a vertical and a SteppIR allband aerial
plus an ACOM 2000A power amplifier.
QSL cards for Russian amateurs are managed by RK1PWA, QSLs for the rest
the world should be send to ZS1ANF: Oleg S. Sakharov, PO Box 15968,
Vlaeberg RSA, Cape Town, Western Cape 8018, Republic of South Africa.

VY1 - CANADA
Steve,N6QEK, plans an activity from the Yukon Territory as VY1/N6QEK
between Dec 30 and Jan 4. He is also considering a participation in the
2010 ARRL RTTY Roundup Contest (Jan 2/3). His QTH is in Whitehorse, the
capital of the Yukon Territory. Steve is working in PSK31 and SSB on
80m-10m (including the WARC bands) before and after the contest. Steve
feels not fit enough to handle CW pile-ups yet. Photos of this trip can
be found on his website (http://www.n6qek.com) after his activity, but
it is already worth a click if you are interested in photos of great
winter landscapes or Aurora phenomena and want to read the QSL info.
AUSTRALIA, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
More than 10.000 scouts and 3.000 guides are going to meet each other
at the "Australian Jamboree" (AJ2010) near Sydney from Jan 4-14. The
special event station VI2AJ2010 will be on the air during this event.
The members of the "Fisher's Ghost Amateur Radio Club" (VK2FFG) will be
QRV on HF, VHF and via Echolink node 6111.
QSLs direct or via bureau to VK2FFG.
CROATIA, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
Tom,9A2AA, has activated more than 500 Croatian islands already which
is a good reason to apply for a special call. 9A500AA will be active
until Dec 31, 2010. QSL via 9A2AA.
FINLAND, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
Anne,OH2YL, is licensed for 20 years now and therefore activates the
special callsign OG20YL mostly in CW on all bands between Dec 30 and
Jan 3, 2010. QSLs also via bureau to her homecall.
MEXICO, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
Two hundred years of Mexican independence and the 100th anniversary of
the Mexican revolution are celebrated by the Radio Club Queretaro
(XE1RCQ). The special callsign 4A1B will be activated throughout the
whole year 2010. The QSL manager is LZ3HI. The logs will be uploaded to
the LoTW as well.

7th International DX Convention 2010 in Paestum
-----------------------------------------------
The 7th International DX Convention will be held in Paestum, province of
Salerno/Italy, on Apr 17-18, 2010. Organized by the Strange Radio Team (SRT)
the event provides many highlights again, such as lectures on K4M, TX3A,
3D2GM, T30GM and T2G. Several international awards (such as DXCC, WAC, WAS,
WAZ, CQ DX, CQ DX FIELD, IIA) can be applied for or extended. An FCC license
examination will be organized as well. With this outstanding program it is
advisable to reserve well in advance. Reservations can be made at the home-
page of the Strange Radio Team (http://www.strangeradioteam.com) or via
