C5 - GAMBIA
Eric,SM1TDE, plans an operation from Gambia from Dec 10-31.
More details are not known yet.
CX - URUGUAY
Ghis,ON5NT, will spend his holidays in Uruguay from Dec 12-17. Listen
for CX5DNT in CW mostly on 30m (his preferred frequency is 10107 kHz)
and 40m during his evening and night. QSL via ON5NT.
D2 - ANGOLA
Paulo,CT1ITZ/D2CQ, planned to go QRT by the end of November but his
stay was extended until Dec 27. Paulo is working in SSB only.
His QSL manager is CT1IUA.
FM - MARTINIQUE, NA-107
Fernando,EA1BT, will stay on Martinique (NA-107) from Dec 8-15. He will
sign TO1BT on all bands. QSLs via his homecall.
HR - HONDURAS
Victor,HR2/N8OO, and Andrei,HR2/NP3D, announced to show up in CW, RTTY
and SSB on all bands from Dec 10-20. Victor plans to take part in the
10m ARRL DX Contest and Andrei wants to join the OK DX RTTY Contest
as HQ2S. QSL cards for HR2/N8OO via his homecall, QSLs for HR2/NP3D and
HQ2S direct via W3HNK or LoTW.
T6 - AFGHANISTAN
Jack,W4JJ, hit the airwaves as T6LC from Gardez (province Paktia).
Jack is active in CW or SSB on 20m and 40m mostly from 1430-1800 UTC.
His QSL cards are handled by K4MJN.
VK9W - WILLIS ISLAND, OC-007
David A. Burton,VK9WBM, is working at the meteorological station on
Willis Island (OC-007) until the mid of June 2010. He plans to show up
on HF and 6m during his little spare time. QSL via VK4DMC.
XU - CAMBODIA, AS-133
Peter,XU7ACY (NO2R), and Wim,XU7TZG (ON6TZ), will activate the island
Koh Russei (aka Bamboo Island, AS-133) from Dec 11-14. They will sign
XU7KOH in PSK, SSB and CW on all bands from 80m-10m (mainly on the IOTA
and PSK frequencies). QSL cards only direct with 2 US $ return postage
and SAE enclosed via ON7PP.
3V - TUNISIA
The clubstation of the Tunisian scouts (3V8ST) celebrates its
10th anniversary by using the special callsign 3V10A until Dec 31.

5H - TANZANIA
Igor,UA3DJY, is momentarily working in Dar es Salaam and showed up
from the DIT Communications clubstation, 5I3A, until Dec 15.

CHINA, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The special event callsign BT3WX is active in SSB, CW, RTTY, PACSAT and
FM on 160m-10m from Taiyuan (province Shanxi) until Dec 20 to celebrate
the launch of the amateur radio satellite XW-1. QSL via BA1DU.
GERMANY, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
The special event station DR09ANT of the "Worldwide Antarctic Program"
(with the WAP number 156 and special DOK IPY) is activated in all modes
on all bands for the last time from Dec 14-31.
QSLs will be sent via bureau automatically.
HONG KONG, SPECIAL EVENT STATION
Some members of the Hong Kong Amateur Radio Communications Association
(VR2HAM) will sign VR2EAG during the 5th East Asian Games 2009 until

SILENT KEYS: The wellknown lowband DXer Roy Jackson, ZL4BO ("Blue Ocean"),
from New Zealand passed away during the last week.
Andrej V. Golopurov, RU1AO, was killed in the Nevsky Express train
accident on Nov 27. He was on the way from Moscow to St. Petersburg
where he intended to join the CQWW CW Contest.
Other silent keys are: Jerry Sevick,W2FMI, who was a member of the
CQ Amateur Radio Hall of Fame and Antonio Scolamiero, YV4DDK.
