Obviously, you can see that I am an HF awards chaser and am constantly putting together my QSL cards to qualify for another DX award. My home station is a Kenwood TS-440S A/T with a Timewave DSP-59+ and my mobile is an Icom 706MKIIG. I use all "Heil" Microphones, (HM-10, Proset, HS706). Due to the fact that I live on a small city lot, I only run 100 watts. Life's too short for QRP. My antennas consist of a Cushcraft A3S for 10m, 15m, and 20m. A homebrew vertical for 40m and 12m. An "Inverted V" for 17m. A full-sized dipole for 75/80m. And a sloper for 30m and 160m. I am the current president of the Heartland DX Association and the past president of the AK-SAR-BEN ARC (1994). I am an Assistant Director for the ARRL Midwest Division and am an ARRL WAS Awards checker. I teach 8th grade Macintosh Computer Applications at King Science Center here in Omaha. |
