About

I grew up in an LA suburb, my dad was an engineer, and I loved spending time helping him at work but I swore I would never do the same thing as he did because he always seemed to work so hard ... I became an engineer. He worked with tubes and Television Transmission,. Now I work with Active Directory and Exchange.

My dad was who got me interested in Ham radio back when I was in grade school. I had my novice, built a couple Heathkit radios but times changed and I fell out of touch with the Ham side of things. I worked in Microwave for Hughes and Teleprompter as a young guy then the computer bug bit me and here I am back into Ham after 30 yrs away. I worked at a few places since then on some fun projects (see pictures below).

A month or two ago I managed to get sick and I ran accross something on the Internet that caught my eye and I found myself looking at the ARRL site buying some books and here I am with my Extra class license. Just bought my first HF rig, a D-Star HT .

I must say a big thank you to the fantastic Ham community for welcoming me (and all the other would be Ham's) and helping me along ..

Thank you!
