What's in a name?

Ham Radio Plus, USA was thought of to bring back the basic principles of Amateur Radio. Enjoying the camaraderie of fellow Hams through on the air qso, technical experiments, field day activities, plus bringing together the interest that Hams shares in working the world wide web. Our club is the first in Socal to have a dedicated internet Iphone link with remote. It is with great pleasure to share with old and new found friends the technology that we can use to create connections from almost anywhere in the world. As we bring the basic necessities for members to communicate through local channels, we also  work harder to provide the club the means to communicate far and beyond what most hams can afford to do.

We are now using the Echolink  System.

The System

The system is an integral part of the whole club. This is the main medium where the exchanges of ideas and pleasantries gets across with clarity.  This was created with the amateur community in mind. The system gets the community on the go and moving forward.

The First

Harp is the first club to use software driven DTMF control on the Iphone Internet-Linking Project. We also have Phone-Patch using the Free Internet Servers , (dial-pad, free-phone etc.) our system also uses the internet to automatically announce the WX conditions and forecast.

The Club

The club is divided into teams. Whether you have a specific interest in mind or want to be active in all facet of ham radio, this will be provided by the teams. Our members is the heart and soul of the club. Without them there is no HARP.

The Activities

The activities are year through.  Quarterly T-Hunting, ARRL Fielday, CQWW Contest. Annual HARP Team field Day. Team sponsored activities. Over all fun for the whole family!
