CERT Training Net Script (short form)

QST, QST, QST this is the CERT Communications weekly net.

Drop Repeater

This net is held every Tuesday evening at 2000 hours on the WA6PWW repeater, 147.015Mhz with a positive offset. This is [Your Name & call] your net control station for this evening. This net can be interrupted at any time for emergency or priority traffic.

Drop Repeater

Stations not participating in this net are requested to please stand-by until the net is completed. Stations checking in to the Net are requested to remain on this frequency until the net is closed. If a station must leave the frequency, please advise net control. This is a directed net, please direct all calls through Net Control. Please pause briefly before speaking and remember to pause between transmissions as someone may have emergency traffic.

Net control requests initial check in by call suffix. After net control acknowledges you, identify your station with the complete call sign phonetically, followed by your name, City and CERT district and whether you have traffic for the Net.

This net provides an excellent training platform for CERT Communications personnel and also a efficient way to       pass information and messages between districts and CERT Organizations. It is suggested that the Communications Officers contact their District Coordinators if there is  any traffic to pass.
