My Rig
My current rig is a Yaesu VX-7R hand-held tranceiver. My wife and I ordered it from Ham Radio Outlet a few days after I passed my Technician exam. It is a cool radio! I figured I would go with a hand-held at first because they are very versatile and can go where ever I go. I would have to say that I like this radio a lot mostly because of its easy-of-operation. The instruction manual is very easy to understand. The functions on the radio are very easy to perform, and the variety of things it can do is pretty amazing. While there are some features that I feel are not necessary (such as WIRES access, mostly because there are no WIRES repeaters in my area) the Yaesu is still a very cool radio to use.
