Our Mobile, and sometimes "Rover"

This is our mobile, and rover opperating station. For local FM work we have a HTX-242, also doubles to find my way to new "Hamfest". After trading off some guns (my other hobby Gun Collecting) I bought the Yaesu FT-817, which is also seen on the page with my wife KG4RTI. The FT-817 goes with us mobile for 6 & 2mtr. SSB work with my self built Halo's. Due to the lack of time, or should I say the band openings have been going on while I am at work, and can not leave, I have not been able to realy try them out good.

I did get one good contact with the mobile at the end of an opening, as I had a QSO with "WW2R" in Texas while I was going down main street of Mt. Airy NC. I felt that was not too bad, with all the buildings and power lines in the way.
