Our purpose is to provide recognition for Amateur Radio related accomplishments. |
So if someone you know has put forth extra effort, to better themselves or some form of Amateur Radio, nominate them so that they will know someone shares in their Triumphs. You must be a member of Amateur Radio Appreciation Society, to nominate someone but the person that you nominate, does not have to be a member. Membership is free but donations are appreciated. What we do is, award a certificate to nominees to commemorate their accomplishments. Then once a year the members will be asked to vote for one of ten nominees, who have demonstrated the most significant accomplishments. The winner will be ARAS's Ham of the year and will receive a plaque, which will be presented at some public function, Maybe Field Day. |
