The American electoral system may be royally fucked over, but it's what we've got, and it's what was in place when the still contested election of 2001 took place. To those people who still hold onto an inkling of hope that they can change the result of this election, I say: "Go find something better to do with your lives. For god's sake, try to educate others so they won't do something stupid again... and while you're at it... shut up and forget this whole thing ever happened, there'll be another election in 4 years, nothing that bad can happen in that time." And to get back to what I was saying earlier... nothing you do, no matter how much you complain about how unfair the election was, and how Gore should be president (or if you're really stupid, Nader), will change the outcome of the past election. Congress can pass any law they like, but it won't affect that which has already taken place (that's right there in the bloody Constitution). So unless provable voter fraud of a large enough scale can be found, Bush is president, so live with it. I'm not gonna say I'm particularly happy with the result either, but I can live with it, and I predict that good ol' Dubbya is gonna be a one-termer anyway. As a final message to anyone who still wants to stand outside on inauguration day and protest against a president who reflects the people of the United States, I say just remember that whatever you say about him is an indication of your fellow man's personality, intelligence, and livelihood, and remember, it's gonna be damn cold out there...
