Serial wiring: Computer to 1278.
The MFJ 1278 uses a 25 pin serial connector. Most computers use a 9 pin serial connector these days. You can either buy a 9 to 25 pin adapter, or if you have the urge, here's the wiring chart to make a patch cable.
