Here is My Big Blue Bad Habit
This car has been the main focus of my spare time for going on 3 yrs now. It is powered by a 462ci. Big Block Olds(455 +0.030). It is out fitted with Speed Pro Power Fordged L2323F pistons, Total Seal Gapless rings, Fordged Steel Rods that have I polished, side gaped per Dr. Olds, installed ARP Rod Bolts and weight matched to with in 1.5 grams using a digital scale. The crank is a Noduler Iron Unit that has been Cross Drilled on all main journals, balanced, debured, shot peened, tufftrited and micro polished. The Crank is held in place with a Mondello Stud and Strap Kit. The oiling system consits of a Mondello High Pressure, High Volume pump, CT-850 Full length windage tray, pan baffle, Milidon 7 qt. oil pan, Mondello R-104 oil restrictors used in number 2,3,4 main oil gallies. The berrings are Clevite units that were modified for use with the oil restrictors. The cam shaft is a Mondello JM 4-5 peice that has 234 degrees intake durration at 0.050 and 246 exhaust at 0.050, wtih .546 intake and .548 exhaust lift on 108 degree lobe centers. The rest of the valve train is rounded out with a Mondello SAR-455 roller rocker kit and a set of Mondello 2.07 and 1.685 posi flow valves. The heads are C castings that have been ported polished, installed hardened exhaust seats, CC'ed combustion chambers and sufaced. Induction is an Edelbrok preformer, and a 850 CFM double pumper. Exhaust is a set of Hooker 3203 super comp. headers 1 7/8" primaries into 3 1/2" collectors, then into 3" pipe and back to a set of Hooker Areo-Chambers. Wheels are Weld Draglites 14x7 on the Front and 15x8 on the rear P215 60R 14's BFG's on the front P265 60R 15's BFG's on the rear (For the Street) &15x10.5x27" slicks(never on the street :)) The suspension is front: a set of Summit dropped spindles, tublar control arms and 12" disk brakes, Rear: a set of South Side Machine Lift bars, an air bag, and koni shocks. The rear diff is an 8.5" unit(soon to be a Currie 9") with an Aubrn Diff and 3.55 Richmond Gears. The interrior is mostly stock right now save for the 6 point cage, B&M Mega Shifter, and Big 'ol Honken Tach.
