Has anyone been giving any thought to how we might be deployed if the
drought situation reaches a critical point? What I'm thinking of is if
there has to be some sort of emergency distribution of drinking water or
something else that drastic. There are a couple of towns around here
that may be facing that if things do not improve in the next 2 or 3
months.
I would not think regular communications will be greatly disrupted, but
perhaps there might be a need for some point-to-multipoint
communications, which we are much better at doing than regular
telephones are. Or maybe just more radios than they normally have
deployed.
Anyway, just a thought...would be interested to hear if any of you have
some observations about this.
