Matt shows how the antennas are raised
This setup is really impressive! Matt has worked on building the ideal/easiest antenna array for a couple of years. From top to bottom are a 2m beam, the 5 & 10 GHz dish, and lastly are beams for 222, 432, & 903 MHz and 1.2 & 2.3 GHz. The circular antenna in front of the van is for 6m (called a halo) and another 2m antenna is at the very front.We were able to raise and lower the array in about 5 minutes which allowed us to spend a maximum amount of time with the radios.
We were able to operate 2m and 6m while mobile with the halo and front 2m antennas.
