13th day- 6/6/1999 - left at 6:30 local (mountain standard time) 9:30 eastern
Enter Utah. Switch to mountain time. We went to Bryce Canyon National Park. We saw lots of Hoodoo's. We went to Zion National Park. The tunnels are small and larger vechicles have to pay $10.00 so the traffic in the tunnel is one way and the larger vechile can drive int he center of the tunnel. We camped at the southern Zion campsite.
14th day - 6/7/1999 - left at 9:05 local (mountain time) 11:05 eastern time
We cross the state border into Arizona. We cross the state border into Nevada. We enter Las Vegas.
15th day - 6/8/1999 - left at 7:00 local (Pacfic time) 10:00 eastern time
We see Hoover Dam. It had big generators. It had a movie in the exbits. The seats for the movie turned. We crossed the state border into Califorina. We camped at Trav-L-Park in Bakersfield.
16th day - 6/9/1999 left at left at 9:24 local (Pacfic time) 12:24 eastern time
We went to Sequoia National Park. We saw Sequoia Trees. We saw General Sherman, the largest living thing. We also saw a cut from a tree that was from 261 B.C. It was cut down in 1950. We saw the gaint Sequoia Forest. We went to Kings Canyon. Kings Canyon had 3 visitors centers.
17th day - 6/10/1999 - left at 9:00 local (Pacific time) 12:00 eastern
We toured the California Capitol Building. It was built about 1860. It has been completely restored. We traveled up 101. We camped at Redwood River Resort and Campground.
18th day - 6/11/1999 - left at 8:10 local (Pacfic Time) 11:10 eastern time
We traveled thorugh Redwood National Park. It is also a State Park. We crossed the State border into Oregon. We camped at Wal-Mart.
19th day - 6/12/1999 - left at 9:00 local (Pacfic time) 12:00 eastern time
We visited the Oregon Capitol building. We went to Bonneville Dam. We crossed the Columbia River into Washington. We camped at Lewis and Clark campsite.
