Morse Code is not required to get your No-Code Technician Licence. A No-Code Tech licence will let you do many things including Amatuer Television, Packet radio(computers on the air), use of 2 and 6 meter, 220 mhz, 440 mhz, and up frequencies, and even make "Autopatch" calls (like cell phone but not as extended)on repeaters (if it is an open autopatch or you belong to that repeater support group).

It is required however to get your General, Advanced, Extra, class licence's. Most Hams generally plan on getting some form of Morse Code training and testing. There are three levels, 5 words per minute (wpm), 13 wpm, and 20 wpm which are required in addition to further testing to get more advanced licence's which of course allow more privledges.
