This all started back in 2002 or 2003 in Phoenix Arizona
"The Soup" is short for "Soup Du Jour" because of the suffix of my call (DJR)
one local ham in particular (WØNWA) called me this all the time and before you knew it everybody was calling me "The Soup"
so the name stuck and I have enjoyed it for over 20 years now.
