Founded in 1990. The chapter currently has over 1350 members world wide. The theme of the chapter parallels the movement of the British Troops against the Colonists, in the 1770's, and the battles and battle grounds that were encountered. Points

You collect points from other Battle Road Chapter members. Unless you have already sent in an upgrade, these will be called New Points. As with most chapters, these collected points can only be used once. Once they are used, they become Old Points or Previous Points. Most members upgrade regularly, and their point value will have increased. This increase in point value will then become New Point value for you to submit for upgrade. Please keep track of Previous and New Points that you collect.

Don't forget - Paid up Ten-Ten Dues = +5 points on your Battle Road "Yearly"

Contacts

Each Battle Road member and his/her Battle Road Chapter # is a Contact. A Contact can only be used once. These Contacts are used to earn your seals on Battle Road. A contact sheet is provided in the Battle Road Certificate Package for circling the Battle Road Members worked. This count of members worked, would be the same for those using computers, and would be called the Total Members in this file. As you earn seals, you will also earn additional points on your Battle Road Point Value. Please keep track of Previous and New Contacts that you collect.

*50 Contacts +10 Points Boston Massacre Seal
100 Contacts + 15 Points Boston Tea Party Seal
200 Contacts + 20 Points Old North Church Seal
300 Contacts Earns The Historic Trail Cert. **
350 Contacts + 25 Points Three Riders Seal
*500 Contacts + 30 Points Battle Green Seal
750 Contacts + 35 Points Store Houses Seal
*1000 Contacts + 40 Points The Old North Bridge Seal

* 50 Contacts receive Retreat Worksheet
** Historic Trail Certificate is $3.00
* At 500 contacts, a full printout (with points) must be snail mailed with SASE
* At 1000 contacts, a full printout (with points) must be snail mailed with SASE

Awards

The Battle Road Chapter offers various awards for you to work on and earn additional points towards your Battle Road Point Value. They Are:

  • WACA or "Worked All Call Areas" Battle Road; {20 pts}

    Work 10 Battle Road members, in each call area, from your home QTH in his/her call area. Remember, the callsign may indicate a different call area, but must be submitted correctly for the call area claiming. No Wild Cards are allowed.

  • WAS or "Worked All States" Battle Road; {25 pts}

    Work a Battle Road member from your home QTH in his/her state, to claim that state. Member can be stationary or mobile. Two (2) Wild Cards are allowed, they are YL's with WC in their BR basic numbers. Wild Cards can only be used once.

  • WAS Mobile or "Worked All States Mobile" Battle Road; {25 pts}

    Work a Battle Road member that is mobile, from your home QTH, and claim that state. Members may be claimed in more than one state. No Wild Cards allowed on this one.

  • WAS YL or "Worked All States YL's" Battle Road; {25 pts}

    Work a Battle Road (YL) member from your home QTH, in her state or any state, to claim that state. She can be stationary or mobile. Two (2) Wild Cards are allowed. Wild Cards can only be used once.
