The IC-T2A is a 2 Meter hand held it is very rugged and can take a lot of beating it gets in to the repeaters
fine and is awesome for simplex. I have realy liked the programable keys on the radio it helps alot for personal preference
But this radio has alot to offer with it not being packed with offers and goodies made for the bare ham who needs a radio that canget around
it has tone squelch and dtmf it is very easy to mod and works awesome outside the hamband perfect for firefighters or other why may you ask?
well it has a tunable duplex you can have any offset witch alot of pd and fd have wierd offsets that only motorola and othe radios can do
like my yaesu it cant do a repeater that chicago fire uses. But i warn you dont do anything your not alowwed to do! At only 169.00 bucks its a awesome
price you get a double aa battery pack with nicads and charger and of cours belt clip and manual If i were you order a extra pack and get the leather quick release
