Since the Allstar node output is active low open collector you need a pull-up resistor connected to J4 pin 5 to J4 pin 16 (+12v supply). A 2K or greater resistor will work fine. Allstar node's COS from pin 7 on the DB-9 to J4 pin 9. The Allstar node's COS polarity should be set to active low. CAT-1000 DIP switch settings No need to power cycle the repeater after setting the switches, but obviously the cover needs to be removed. - Switch 2 needs to on - this sets the COR input for the secondary port to active low - Switch 3 off and switches 4 & 5 on - configures the repeater mode. This is documented as the "Doug Hall" mode in the CAT-1000 docs, but this was recommended by Computer Automation as the best setting for this mode. Consult the CAT-1000 manual, Chapters 3 and 5 for information about programming. - Zone 6 should have channels 1 & 2 on and all others off. - Send 5001 to turn remote-base mode on. The repeater should then say "Remote-base on". If the repeater has preversion 3 firmware, contact Computer Automation for updated firmware (it's only $5 for an update). Older versions had a bug where the remote-base mode would not stay enabled when the repeater went through a powercycle. - DTMF muting should be disabled (zone 1 channel 7) or users will need to send # (pound) in front of all commands to be sent to the Allstar node. ------------------------------------------------------------------ #/etc/asterisk/simpleusb.conf # For CAT-1000 ; Motorola GM300 with COS inverted eeprom=0 hdwtype=0 rxboost=0 carrierfrom=usbinvert ctcssfrom=no txmixa=voice txmixb=no invertptt=0 duplex=1 plfilter=no deemphasis=no preemphasis=no rxaudiodelay=0 ### ------------------------------------------------------------------ #/etc/asterisk/rpt.conf # CAT 1000 requires all commands directed to port 2 to begin with # # Unless DTMF muting is disabled ; inxlat remapping if you don't disable CAT DTMF muting ; Radio prefix is #88, #89 equals pound ;inxlat = #88,#89,0123456789ABCD ; ------------------------------------------------------------------- #/etc/asterisk/rpt.conf #Scheduled Connections - map to macros - map to functions ; ; [schedule43193] $ ;dtmf_function = m h dom mon dow ; ala cron, star is implied $ ;1=00 * * * * ;run macro 1 on the hour ; ;startup_macro=*953355936 ;N9PAY-R ; 59201=15 21 * * 2 ; 9:15p tue tue night newsline 59202=59 20 * * 3 ; 8:59p wed connect wed night swap net 59203=59 19 * * 4 ; 7:59p thu connect thu night tech net 59272=15 22 * * 3 ;10:15p wed disconnect swap net 59273=15 23 * * 4 ; 9:15p thr disconnect tech net 59204=00 16 * * 1-5 ; 4:00p m-f weekday evening commute 59274=00 18 * * 1-5 ; 6:00p m-f disconnect weekday evening commute 59205=55 19 * * 0 ; 7:50p sun Gogebic,MI net 59275=30 20 * * 0 ; 8:30p sun disconnect Gogebic,MI 59206=59 19 * * 1 ; 7:59p mon mon night msoe net 59276=45 20 * * 1 ; 8:35p mon msoe disconnect ; [macro43193] ;Macro number = command string (ea command separated by space) -end with HASH 1=*81 *80# ; play time and voice ID ; 9201=*33006397# ;Echolink Newsline (6397) 9202=*328450# ;145.13 Swapnet 9203=*32495# ;FM38 Tech Net 9273=*73# ;Disconnect All 9204=*327486# ;WI Reflector A - W9RCG 9205=*329230# ;K8ATX 9206=*3355936# ;N9PAY-R 9272=*128450# ;Disconnect 145.13 Swapnet 9273=*1495# ;Disconnect FM38 Tech Net 9274=*127486# ;Disconnect WI Reflector A 9275=*129230# ;Disconnect K8ATX 9206=*342743 ;MSOE 9207=*142743 ;Disconnect MSOE ; ; ------------------------------------------------------------------- #/etc/asterisk/simpleusb_tune_usb.conf [usb] ; name=usb ; devicenum=1 devstr=1-1.5:1.0 rxmixerset=790 txmixaset=750 txmixbset=500
