Dayton Hamvention

On  May 20, 2000 there  may be a caravan to Dayton  if there is   enough interest this year to go.

If you are interested in going please contact Jeff K8JSL.  Jeff has agreed to chair this event.  The group will be leaving EARLY Saturday morning and returning Late Saturday night.

Expenses would be your own ticket food etc.  Maybe everyone could put in a couple of bucks to cover the gas.

This is going to be a lot of fun.  If you have never been to Dayton now is your opportunity!  There  are over 2500 outdoor

vendors in the flea market and 500 indoor vendors.  This is the place to get your fingers on the new toys and play with them.  It is also a great place to find the item that you really needed or didn't even knew existed.

Tickets are $16.00 in Advance or $22.00 at the door.  You can mail order advanced tickets by sending a check or money order to :

If you didn't know this year the Dayton Hamvention is also the ARRL National Conventions.

There are twice as many forums to attend.

Guest speaker at the Banquet is Riley Hollingsworth.  He is know for Ham Busting.  He has been doing a great job at the FCC helping to clean up our ham radio bands from bad language and BAD operating procedures.

After reading the things people are doing in other parts of the world I'm sure glad I live in the 31 area.

Thursday 4:30-6:30 p.m. Gas Net

Testing

of  coffee.

You and I know that the price of gas always goes through the roof on Thursday afternoon. This should be a fun way to travel home from work!

I would like hear you all on my way home!

As you all know the price of gas keeps going up and up, we think this will be fun to do on your way home from work!

As you make your way from work give the price of gas from the stations that you drive by and what ever is the cheapest around we then can make up our minds to go get gas and maybe a cup

Bay City will be holding testing sessions for the month of March and April for those of you wanting to take advantage of the license restructuring.

Both sessions will be on the 3rd Saturday of the month.  Sign in at 3 PM and testing to start at 4.  Due to the high number of candidates expected at the APRIL session we are working on having testing starting at 2 PM for those only needing upgrades.

Candidates writing tests will still have to wait until 3 PM  for tests.

You may want to listen to the net on Tuesday 145.31 at 9 PM for further updates.
