I originally tried purchasing this car in 1987 from a friend of mine, John Harris, and was told that his father wasn't willing to let it go. About a year later, John was tragically taken from us while up at Central Michigan University when the car he was driving was hit by a drunk driver.

I had become friends with his family and continued to spend time with then because they were interesting and intelligent people. Hit father used to be an Electronics Engineer at Heath Company, while it was still a thriving company.

I mentioned to John's Father, Earl, that I was interested in purchasing the car from him in 1991 and he told me that he had enough toys to keep him busy and would sell it to me for $800.00. I couldn't believe it... The car I had dreamed about for 4 years was finally going to be in my posession.

I paid him the money and drove it home. He said it was the first time it had been run in probably 6 years. I figured if it hadn't been run in that long it probably needed an oil change like there's no tomorrow. I pulled the drain plug that night and the oil began to drain like cold syrup. It took almost 7 days for all the oil to drain, and even then I ran 2 Motor Flush treatments through it.

In the summer of '91 my good friend John Gilmore came home from college and we spend the summer working on our Bradley's because he had purchased a Bradley GT II from Lakeshore High School's Auto Shop.

Not much became of my Bradley due to lack of funds and has remained dormant in a series of garages sense the fall of 1991. It will soon be making a journey to Detroit Michigan where it will find a new home with John Gilmore.
