Press the left volume control to a VHF, now Press the VFO button enter the frequency example(146.670 MHz). 2. Now to select the offset press the F button, and then press the SHIFT button, It will change from + to - to simplex every time you press that sequence. On 2 meters is has a automatic offset selector due the 2 meter band plan in the U.S. I does not have this feature on 440 MHz. 3. Now to select a PL/Tone/Encode, please press the TONE button, now a T will show in the top of the display. Now press the F button and then the T.SEL button. The PL/Tone will appear in the display flashing. Now turn the main tuning knob to your desired PL/Tone example 97.4, now to store that PL/Tone press the OK button on the far right side. The display will go back to its original state showing the frequency you entered earlier. 4. Now you may store all this information in memory. First press the F button, and on the right side of the display you will see a memory number FLASHING, and a arrow facing the right turn the main tuning knob and select your desired memory. You may now store the frequency with all the information by pressing the M.IN button. To recall that memory selection please press the MR button.
