Tuesday Night Net Script


Good evening and welcome to the Ham Association of Mesquite weekly information net. My name is NAME, CALL SIGN and I will be your net control this evening. This net is heard every Tuesday night at 8:00pm on the WJ5J repeater on a frequency of 145.310 mhz. with a PL tone of 162.2 and all licensed amateurs are invited and encouraged to participate. This a directed net, Please do not transmit unless directed to do so by net control. To gain the attention of net controlled please use “CONTACT” or “QUERY” never “BREAK BREAK” unless an actual emergency exist.

Is there any emergency, priority or time sensitive traffic at this time (Pause)

If at any time you have an actual emergency use the pro-sign “Break, Break” followed by your call sign and the net will stand by.

First we will take Check Ins. Please give your entire call sign at this time slowly and clearly.

We will now take announcements from Club officers, Any club officers on frequency wishing to make an announcement please give your call sign. (If you know that they have checked in go ahead and call on them.)

If any amateur station has an announcement please give your call sign at this time.

Our next topic will be Tech Talk. If you have a question of a technical nature, comments, info, or web site information concerning amateur radio. Please give your call sign at this time.

Our final topic tonight is SWAP SHOP. Any station wishing to buy, sell, trade, or give away items of an amateur nature are invited to do so. We ask that you limit your listings to Ham related equipment only and please don't discuss prices over the air. We will include computers as ham gear. Please give your callsign at this time.
