It is no secret that I am a YaesuHam
Some have asked me about my
username here, and at other sites.
What I have to tell all is that I am a ham radio operator, and I use the
brand Yaesu, as my choice of a ham radio brand. So it was only typical that I became a Yaesu
Ham.. Put them together, and that’s my user name Yaesuham. I also
like Icom, Kenwood, TenTec, JRC, and most other brands too, but a Yaesu was my
first ham rig. I used an old FT-101-EX as my
first rig. I pounded the key on the
Novice bands for many months, and then when I upgraded to Advanced, the old
Yaesu was the first rig on which I made my first voice contact. It still works
great today.
When I got to where I could, and could afford
one, I opted to stick with Yaesu brand, and got a brand new in the box Yaesu
FT-990-AT as my new rig. It still
performs today as good as ever. I wouldn’t pass up a chance to get a Kenwood at
a good price if I were looking for another rig. I like the way a Yaesu is put together, and
the analog meter is, for me, the way to go in monitoring my output, and giving S
readings to the others I chat with in QSO.
So that’s where it came from. That’s
how I became A YAESUHAM !!
