For all the efforts…
of all our friends in Amateur
Radio, here’s to the OMs and YLs that make Amateur Radio the wonderful art that it is.
For all the “Elmers” who have shown others the
old ways, and standards of the radio art, to them we owe a sense of gratitude,
and there are many “Elmers” of the past who passed on
this art to the new ones, as they were called back when I took my exams at Reds
home, not too far away from where I live.
Since then, the study materials are even available online, and anyone
can pass that sort of test, even if it is doing it so much, you recall from
memory what the answer is going to be.
The study materials tho, lead you thru the
exam, but the end being that you don’t really have the knowledge that you will
need to do what you want to do when it comes to building your own antenna
system, or even doing homebrewing.
Building a power supply is a great way of
starting out to homebrew your own equipment.
My goal someday, will be to roll my own amplifier. Of course, I am going to use glass envelope
tubes if possible to build upon, to make my own amp. Currently, I am collecting the necessary
components to build it with sometime in the future.
