Welcome to my web page!!
Throughout the next couple of months, this
page will be
undergoing some changes! Right now it
will be dedicated to
the presentation and research I presented in
my Polar Oceanography Class.
I hope you enjoy what is here. Coming soon will be my Ham radio links as
well as information for the Sea Trials 2000
Communications Staff. Enjoy!!
Below is the link to the Power Point Presentation that I gave in my Polar Oceanography class on Antarctic Hurricanes. I am currently researching this presentation for my Capstone Project. It gives the viewer a rough idea of what an Antarctic Hurricane is, and how they form. I hope you enjoy it.
WELCOME TO MY POLAR PRESENTATION
Check out the latest updates on the Amateur Radio Club here at the Academy, W3ADO

I am currently a
midshipman at the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis MD. I am majoring in Oceanography and hope to
become a career Naval Officer in either the Surface Warfare
Community or in METOC (Navy
weathermen). All midshipmen are
required to play a sport while at the Academy.
For my sport, I competitively sail for the Varsity
Offshore Sailing Team. Through this
program I have been able to travel to England, Bermuda, New Port, RI., and
Block Island, RI, to either cruise or compete in regattas. I currently act as a bowman onboard our Navy
44s. Before coming to the Academy I had
never sailed in my life, since we don’t have very many places to really sail in
Western Pennsylvania. I was born in
Latrobe, PA (home of Rolling Rock beer) and raised in Blairsville, PA (famous
for nothing). While here at the Academy
I became interested in Ham Radio. I was
licensed in November of 1999 and am currently the acting president of the USNA
Amateur Radio Club, W3ADO. Since becoming licensed, I have also become
a licensed MARS (Military Affiliate Radio
System) operator.
More to come……
