Thank you for using MoSpot.
This applet was designed for use by County Hunters to enable quick and easy spotting of locations while running counties.
For more information on County Hunting, please go to MARAC.
Use of this web based applet is very simple. It is text based and should operate on any computer, tablet or phone that has Internet connectivity. This will also reduce the amount of data used when away from Wifi resources. You must be connected to the Internet with a cell signal or wifi to access and use this applet.
Running GMT/UTC Date and Time
Just under the header of the applet you will find a running GMT/UTC date and time clock. This is useful for logging purposes while using MoSpot.

This dropdown list allows you to select your desired state. Each state is its own file but the operation and appearance the same. THE CHANGE IN STATE WILL ONLY BE INDICATED BY A CHANGE TO THE STATE NAME IN THE HEADER.

This dropdown list provides all counties and county lines* within your selected state. When you select a county or county line that information will appear in the LOCATION text box on the bottom of the display. Further comments or editing may be added there if desired.
*County lines in MoSpot are those listed in the MARAC Logger program. The reverse county line names are not included. Please refer to MARAC guidelines for details on certain "wet" county lines and other questions.

PRE-FILLED TEXT BOXES
You may have some text boxes pre-filled with your specific information. If you wish to edit these boxes, simply tap at a place in that box and begin editing.
NOTE: You may edit any information in any text box in the Spot... section of the applet.
Send to W6RK Spot
Tapping this button will send the information shown in the SPOT... area. Please review this information before sending the spot. When you tap on this button, you will be taken to the W6RK spot website. Simply press the back button to return to your program.
Links
At the bottom of the screen you will see three links.
The W6RK Spots link will take you to the spotting site. This allows you to see whether anyone is running on a specific frequency before you post in case you cannot hear them.
The MARAC db link will take you to the MARAC db. This is useful for you to look up a telephone number of another County Hunter if you are in a county they need.
The PARKSpot link will allow you to switch between applets in the selected state quickly. This is particularly useful for those participating in both County Hunting and the parks programs that may use MoSpot to run counties prior to getting to a park and then switch over to PARKSpot to run the park.
