In 2011 I retired from DOD with 42 years of service. After retiring I have been working to catch up on
the "Honey-Do-List", spending time in the Shack and assisting new operators. During the last few years I have been
assisting a friend who Is a HAM to get his license upgraded and setting up his station.
My enjoyment is using the digital modes, connecting with old friends, and working around the shack to improve the
operations. I have documented all the radio connections including microphone and electrical wiring.
My interest in HAM radio started years ago as a youngster. I started out by building Crystal Radios,
experimenting with electronic devices and assembling Heathkit items. Many nights I have spent listening
to radio stations miles away on my crystal radio and mapping where they were located or assembling
a kit.
Now that I am retired, I have spare time to return to my interest in HAM radio and assisting other
HAMS.
