WA6FCY Lincoln City Oregon 1970's

In the 70's I was very active on 75 meters with a group that I still talk with from time to time the Saturday Afternoon Uplift and drinking Society Net. We met nightly at 3914.2 KC. Choose that Frequency because my Apache Transmitter us to drift and I had a crystal for that Freq! This group still meets today on 40 meters Wednesday nights.

The Main Radio in the Shack back then was a Drake TR-3 and my antenna was a Inverted Vee that was up at 40 feet above the house.

I worked at Radio Station KBCH as a Announcer. I really liked it in Lincoln City. It was one of my favorite places that I lived during my 37 years in Broadcasting
