The 50 MHz DX Bulletin was founded by Harry Schools, K3HS. It is dedicated to the understanding and utilization of long distance propagation in the 6-meter Amateur band. The current editor and publisher is Victor Frank, K6FV. Subscription rates are $24 U.S. first class mail, $27 Canada/ Mexico airmail, and $30 by airmail elsewhere for 12 issues. Circulation matter and DX reports should be sent to Victor R. Frank, K6FV, 12450 Skyline Blvd., Woodside, CA 94062-4554 USA. My internet address is [email protected]. I am taking an HTML class and have a web site under construction at http://www.qsl.net/k6fv. The bulletin may be freely quoted, provided that credit is given.

Administrivia

Yes, our subscription rates have changed! We no longer have enough subscribers for third class mail. (We've been sending all USA subscribers their bulletins by first class mail for some months now.) Why the odd rates? Accounting! The new rates are evenly divisible by 12. Those of you with $20 subscriptions yet to run out just might find one or more bulle- tins sent by third class mail if we do a subscription drive.

Where's the DX?

January has been pretty dry all around the world, as far as six meters is concerned, and especially so in the USA. Don't put that 6m rig up for sale quite yet, however, conditions are bound to improve in coming months. Inside, you will find the results of the year 2000 SMIRK and 50 MHz DX Marathon contests, and even a six meter beacon list.
