K6BSA Skeds
- Before the encampment:
If you would like to arrange a scheduled
contact between out Scouts and your local Troop, it's best to arrange the schedule
before the encampment starts. Send a message to
K6BSA Coordinator Paul Wesling,
giving the time and frequency of the sked, and we'll make every effort
to have a station on the air waiting for you at that time.
You can contact him at:
- During Rendezvous: [to be determined later]
The best time for a schedule is in the evening between 1900 (following
dinnertime) and 2230 PDT (lights-out),
on or near the Scout Frequency on whatever band
is appropriate for the distance. Daytime schedules are possible but can
often be hard to keep
because of propagation or campwide events. Of course, our Station Staff are
often available for scheds, and there are sometimes Scouts available to
speak to you or your local Scouts.
