Field Day 2000

Field Day antenna farm from 2000.
Man... was it hot that year....

The heat became a little more bearable after dark. If the mosquito's didn't carry you away.

Field Day 2001

Same site as Field Day 2000, just a different perspective.

I realize this picture won't make much sense without a little explanation...
This is the world famous "Mikey's Monster". Tom Harmon (AK1E), and I created this beast to satisfy the CW Contesters. Tom and I got many good reports on this antenna. If I can locate the Mini-NEC array geometery for the beast I will post it here.
6 elements on 40m. WOOF!

2001 was the year I spent in this nice cushy travel trailer.. thanks Bob (WN2G)!!

Field Day 2002

Tower 4 ... the ultimate gin-pole!!

As usual, Steve (KD4ZPF) gets the climbing duties...

Steve and I lay out the elements for the "Monster", amazing this thing has held together for four years now.
It was a last minute fabrication... that has stood the test of time.

Yours' truly.. attaching elements to the backbone of the "Monster"

I think it only fair to say "thanks a million!" to Dar (KD4CVC), she and Tom (AK1E) always keep my tummy smiling for field day...

Tom (AK1E) with a cherry cheesecake midnight snack!!

Will (W2KM) and Tom (N4NW)... the best high-speed CW op's I know.
