About ME

After I retired from the Navy I received AS Electronic Technology from Pikes Peak Comm College. Received my BS in Technical Management from Regis University in 1982. MBA from University of Phoenix in 1985.  Worked as a microelectronics failure analysis tech and microelectronic design technician for NCR and Honeywell. Worked as a technical writer for Space System Inc, Contel Federal Systems, Computer Science Corp., And Distributed Information Systems.

Became interested in Ham Radio while in JR High. Someone gave me an old copy of the ARRL Handbook I spent hours pouring over the pages, not understanding much of what it was all about, but I knew I wanting to be a ham.  I grew up in Pueblo Colorado stayed there until I went in the Navy in 1957. Was station on Destroyers most of my 20 years.  My last tour before I retired was on an AOR a fueling  and replenish ship.

Got my novice license while still in the Navy.  Tested for Tech after I retired.  Tested for General in 2007 call was KI4WPE got vanity call K4DCG shortly there after. Got my Extra in 2011.
