OPERATIONS FROM THE CABIN:
(Or how much gain did that dipole get from being stretched across the lake?)

This beautiful log cabin is the site for the Sadieville Engineering Corporation, with the C.E.O., WB4OEF, Chief Engineer, WB4NZS, and main stockholders and veto-power holders, KF4GQR and Vickie.  The power generator was in the back of the truck on the right, between the two cars.   A vertical was erected just behind the blue truck near the center of the picture, fairly close to the light pole.

Just behind the red truck on the left, you can see the mast that held the dipoles.  The 80 meter section stretched all the way across the pond to the left of the red truck and the tents in the background.  This group switched between an Icom rig and a Kenwood, and stayed busy on several bands.

Here's a good view of the cabin crew at work.  I don't know where they found that 12 volt fan, but note that it is aimed directly at WB4OEF.  This is only one example of the precise work of the Sadieville Engineering Corporation, and, in fact, I believe they were the only one of the three operations to run their computer off 12 volts during the entire event.  (I sure hope that guy didn't try to start his bulldozer during field day weekend.)

Under construction!!!  Look for more pictures in the future.  We have around a hundred all together.
