I entered my log into an Excel spreadsheet, ran some calculations and produced an interesting graph of my progress over the contest period. This kind of data will be a useful study for my next PA QSO Party contest. Click on the image for a larger version.
The graph shows the growth in QSOs, Mults, and Score over time. It also shows the rate for the past 10 QSOs at each point and the band I was on at the time. Where the dots indicate the highest band, this is an aggregation of all of my VHF activity. Most was 2 meter FM, followed by a few 6 meter SSB/FM and 222 MHz FM QSOs.
Thanks to everyone for the QSOs! This was a new all time high
PA QSO Party score for me. I broke my own Carbon County record, set
the previous year at 80,588 points. It got me 2nd place in my category
(EPA Medium Power), and was the high single-op score for the Carbon
Amateur Radio Club. The club also achieved a new record, thanks
largely to two multi-op efforts by K3CT (w/KR3I) and W3MF (w/K3PH) who
had 207,485 and 218,055 points respectively. K3CT set a new Carbon
County multi-op record. W3MF set a new Monroe County multi-op record
and won the multi-op category for the whole contest! Here are the
official club standings from the 1997 PA QSO Party.
