National Traffic System -  Dan Ostroy K2UL was the ARRL's Southern NJ Section Traffic Manager (STM) from April 2000 to April 2010.   The National Traffic System (NTS) is an organization of nets (and computers) for the purpose of relaying radiograms throughout the United States and some foreign countries in support of national emergency preparedness and international good will.  We are the "Relay" in ARRL.  If you are interested in the National Traffic System, here is the place to start. New York University Amateur Radio Club -  K2UL is the trustee for  W2DSC and W2NYU.  This link takes you to the NYU ARC page.  We have an on-line "virtual museum" of club history with many artifacts from the 1930s and 1950s.  The club now has over 60 alumni members,  (Click the graphic at left.)

About K2UL - Licensed as WN2TUL in July 1965 (age 15), followed by General ticket and WB2TUL one  month later.  NTS participant since 1967.  Upgraded to Extra Class in Summer of 1967.  Active from W2DSC at NYU 1967-1971.  Acquired K2UL callsign in 1977 during the FCC's brief callsign upgrade window.  Now retired from AT&T Bell Labs and enjoying life.  (Click the graphic at left.)
