HF Radios
I currently use two HF radios. An ICOM IC-756PROII and an Elecraft K2. The K2 is limited to 10 watts and is setup as a CW only radio. The performance is wonderful for a kit radio intended for portable operation. Over the last few years, Elecraft has added a number of enhancements making the radio an even better performer. It is not without its "warts" though. After an awful lot of deep thinking, I decided to add the IC756PROII to the shack. I really wanted to try a fully IF-DSP radio and the PROII fit the bill. I've used it now for several months. I'll write up a review in the near future...
I also own two other HF radios: A K1 from Elecraft and a IC-706MKII from ICOM. The K1 is primarily used on vacations or for a quick use away from home. The IC706MKII awaits installation in my car.
Elecraft Radio Kits. The K1 is a cw only 4 band 5 watt radio with a built in keyer and antenna tuner. The K2 is also cw only, but 160 through 10 meters at 10 watts, also with a built in keyer and antenna tuner. The K1 sits on top of the K2 in this picture.
ICOM AMERICA. Pictured here is a IC-756PROII with a IC-706MKII to the right. The PROII is the main station rig and is used primarily for SSB, Digital modes, and for CW and SSB contesting. The IF-DSP generates some of the best narrow band filters I have used. Signals just disappear as you tune away. For CW operation, you can adjust the shape of the keyed waveform to control key clicks. Works great!

Pictures of Previously Owned Radios
The following are pictures (from various sources) of past radios. These are in order from my first rigs to the present. The first two radios were huge and used together. The DX100 is a transmitter and the SX101 is a ham band only receiver, both with lots of tubes. They took up a complete full size desk.
As you can almost see from the pictures, the frequency display for each radio gets more and more complicated the newer the radio gets. The latest radio (PROII) has a full display with a ton of information on all the controls... I wonder what the next genration radio will look like.
