Navy RBZ HF AM receiver

This radio was a May 2012 Ebay find. I was ecstatic- I got the bag and the battery box. I have seen some totally complete sell on Ebay for $500… And while this example has some flaws, I got it for much, much less. Like everything I ever buy, this one arrived not working. More on this one as I find the time to work on it. I am hoping to get it working, then buy a skullcap for it. I have already bought two headsets from Fair Radio.

This receiver was used by the Navy to direct teams ashore. These units operated from 2-5.8MHz. This receiver was also modified to operate on 6-13MHz and supplied to resistance forces in Europe. This unit is one of the latter type, modified for the higher frequencies.

The power cable end has been cut off and is bare wires. I will need to improvise a plug to use the battery box. Otherwise, this example is in good shape.
