This
is the original 15 watt K2 radio. I
assembled this unit from a kit. The
assembled radio includes
K2 radio
KSB2 SSB option
KAT2 built in antenna tuner
KBT2 internal gel cel battery bracket and battery
Heil MH2 hand microphone
In
addition to the assembled radio described above, I also have the following kit
options still in the original plastic bag, never built or installed…
KDSP2 Advanced internal DSP filter / clock option
K160RX 160M option
KNB2 Noise blanker option
KIO2 RS-232 serial interface option
If
you bought all of this today it would cost over $1,450 and you would have to
build it.
With
this package, you get an assembled radio with SSB, ATU, Battery,
Microphone and
the
pleasure of building up some of the options and installing them yourself.
I
built this radio, did a little operating with it from time to time then went on
to build
some
other radios. It sat on the shelf for a
few years. I then sent it off to
Elecraft
to
make sure it was up in optimum shape.
They added a few upgraded parts that
came
out since my kit was made and tuned it all up.
So you can say it’s factory
checked
out and tuned up. It came home and sat
in the box for a few more years.
It
has never been mobile or portable and comes from a non-smoking house.
It
has seen very little use and is in really mint condition.

Radio #2 – Elecraft K1-4 Assembled.
– 40/30/20/15 meters - MINT CONDITION
$425

After
the K2, I built the K1. This is one nice
radio. It really packs a lot of features
in a very small package.
This
radio includes…
K1 Radio
KFL-4 Four band module (40m, 30m, 20m, 15m)
KAT1 Internal antenna tuner
KBT1 Internal battery adapter that holds 8 AA batteries
This
radio is in like-new MINT condition. I
put the radio on the bench today and
checked
power output on all bands. Each band
outputs 1-2 watts.
The
radio specs are up to 5 watts to I suspect it needs to be aligned
internally.
If
you bought the radio today it would cost $590 as a kit.
This
radio is assembled and ready to go. It
is really a very sweet little rig.

Radio #3 – Yaesu FT-897 – Excellent
condition
$675

I
have up for sale a very nice FT-897 HF/6m/2m/UHF radio. This is my home station
backup
rig. It has seen very little use. It has spent most of its life packed in a
transit case.
The
radio has only been used on Field Day.
It is currently mounted inside a hard plastic
rack
mount case to keep in good shape.
The
package includes the radio and the standard Yaesu hand microphone.

Item #4 – LDG AT-897 automatic
antenna tuner for the FT-897
$125
This
is a nice accessory for the FT-897. It
has a good wide range of tuning.
As
they say on their web site…
“If
you are a QRP enthusiast or plan on operating via internal batteries, the
AT-897 is your tuner!
The
AT-897 does not need a fan, let alone one that is constantly running.
Current
consumption when it is tuned is in the micro-amp range. Since we use latching
relays,
you
can even remove power from the tuner after you have tuned on the band you are
going to operate!”
