2008 IARU HF World Championship Results
March QST magazine (page 100) Bill Finch (W4EHF) from Greensville, NC, the
World -record
holder for the 1500 meter run among those 95-99 years of age. Way to
go Bill.
And on page 83
Adam (WK4P) also made some print. Under the South West region (Delta,
Roanoke and Southwestern Division).
Adam placed 3rd in points 19,950 as a class A station.
I thought that Ashe County was big into farming Apples, Country Hams,
Tomatoes and their famous Cheese.
I was not aware antennas fit into this group until now. I should of realized
that if Ham's are mentioned
antenna's would be involved.

Soapbox Snippets
- Many thanks to everyone I worked. I enjoyed each and every contact. I am
looking forward to next year, and, hopefully, better conditions.
K6RJ
- I always enjoy this contest and can’t wait until next year now that we
will have this solar minimum out of the way. Come on sunspots! NU4B
- The beautiful part of radio sport is that all of us became better
operators because of this event. WK4P
- Totally enjoyable -- a lot of fun. Loved the great sounds of CW from
around the world. Also it was nice having ten meters open a little.
WA5MUF
- Another Big Year for HQs! . . . and they reigned on 20 meters.
